You see walls all around you. Iron stretching up forever to an invisible ceiling bathed in shadow. You're frantic. Why did you let yourself be brought into such a situation? You were dared to go into the human's old lab, but now you can't find your way out. What if you never got out? What if some canine found your dead carcass laying on the ground in this place some day?
Your eyes flash with uncertainty, and you take a small step forth, hoping to find a way out of the darkness. You step on something hard and smooth. Suddenly a bright green light catches you off-guard. You jump back, scared. On the ground before you is a small black box with a green screen upon it. Now playing across the surface was an image of your paw, a hundred tiny yellow squares mapping out the bone and muscle. It switched to different angles of the appendage before changing the image of you entirely. And there was you... Your face was easy to see. Your ear was even flopping to the side, like your friends told you was weird, though it came naturally to you.
You blink, now terrified. What was this contraption? You whirl around, ready to flee. But instead, you are face to face with a screen on which there was the scariest face imaginable. Your eyes widen. A human... You screech in fear to see the human moving, speaking in a language foreign to you.
Light shoots from the floor, exposing large bulbs in the ground and not the ceiling. There's a blaring noise and the screen of the box and the human face flash red. A word is splayed across the front of them that you do not understand. Who could comprehend the writings of humans? But if you were a human, you might have read the word, 'Teleport'. And you might have known that something horribly wrong was about to happen.
A blinding light comes and for a moment you do not know anything. You feel as if your body is being squeezed through the smallest amount of space. You feel as if your bones are being crushed. But you can't scream. You can't do anything. Then... everything goes black.
Hours later, you open your eyes, half expecting to see nothing but blackness. However, the scene you see is much, much worse. Water licks at the sand before you and a salty tang fills your nose. You find yourself looking at the sea with its blue water and you smell fruit all around. And other hounds... Other hounds are walking around, confused. Where is their home? What is this place? You stare and stare... Then... finally you realize Eternal City is no more... The islands are your new home.
