Grabbing Rummy's halter and lead rope, Kc made her way to the mare's stall. Sticking her head over the stall door, Rummy bobbed her head up and down and nickered a greeting to her owner. Morning Rummy Kc murmured to the mare, before opening her stall door, and slipping quietly in. A loud whinny came from the paint stallion next to them, who was also Kc's. Hello to you to Darky. Kc said in a greeting to the paint stallion. Pawing at the door, Dark tried to get it open as Kc lead the paint mare out of her stall, and towards the large corral. The mare had already been groomed out from the previous night, and was still clean enough.
Rum, tossed her brown and white mane as she seen the saddle and bridle on the fence. They had been working on saddling and bridling Rummy for the last few days, and the mare wasn't scared of the saddle.. she just had a fit about having it be put on her back. Once that was done, she was completely fine. Kc had also been getting on the mare, and she was fine with that as well.. along with being rode around.. after she had a fit. It wasn't just a few little tosses of her head, it was big, bronco type bucks.. and Kc had to deal with them when she was on the mare's back. Luckily, Kc was a good enough of a rider to stay on the mare when she did that. Sighing, Kc opened the gate and lead the paint mare through.
Grabbing the saddle pad, Kc set it on the mare's back. Rummy tossed her head and swished her tail a few times, but other then that stood quite still. Good girl Rum. Her owner murmured softly and patted her neck gently. Grabbing the saddle, Kc gently set that on the mare's back, and went around to the other side. Tightening it, Kc made it tight enough that she could get on, and not have the saddle slip around, and make her fall. Grabbing the d-ring bit, and running martingale, Kc put those on the mare. Taking a soft hold of the reins, Kc swung onto the mare's back after a few bounces.
Swishing her tail, Rummy stood for it, but Kc could tell she wasn't going to be happy once she was asked to walk out. Okay girl. Kc said and patted the mare's neck. No bucking. Clicking her tongue softly, Kc asked the mare to walk out with her spur gently against the mare's side. Pricking her ears up, Rum stepped out quietly, her paint coat gleaming in the morning sun as she did so. Kc relaxed her grip slightly on the reins, but knew better. The mare moved out quietly, and walked calmly twice around the corral before Kc asked for a trot. Clicking her tongue, Kc put the mare into a trot. Tossing her head, Rummy jurked it into the air, and swung her hind quarters out to the side, refusing to trot.
Tightening her grip, Kc clicked her tongue, and pressed more firmly with her spur. After a few attempts at doing that, the paint mare finally went into a trot. Kc let the mare put her head down, right where she was supposed to put it.. but that was defiantly a bad mistake. Feeling the slack in the reins, Rum put her head down, and arched her back. Getting her head down low, the mare was able to easily arch her back, and buck into the air. Holy S.hit Rummy. Kc said, loud enough that any one on the side of the corral could hear. Every time the mare went up into the air to buck, she made a weird grunting noise.
After the third buck, Kc lost her stirrups, but some how, managed to stay on the paint mare, and keep her head up at a decent hight.. but like always, the paint mare kept on bucking. She was bond and determined to find any way to buck. Weither it was just walking, or even with her head held up, Remmy could still find a way to buck.
