BeLuna arrived at the stables early the next morning, the morning after the arrival of her new horse Ace, that is. Handful of Aces was snoozing in his stall, snorting and stamping his foot every once in awhile as Luna looked on quietly. He was a beautiful horse, at least to her, even with his gangly legs, the scars from the barbed wire that were beginning to fade and his mohawk-like mane that was at least looking a little better than when he had first arrived yesterday. BeLuna stood at his stall door for a few minutes, watching him sleep until his head suddenly came up with a snort and she found herself face to eye with the tall Morgan.
They looked at each other for a few moments, BeLuna not daring to move, Ace sniffing the air but not taking his big brown eye off of her. After a moment, Ace snorted and turned to his empty hay rack, tossing his head at it impatiently. Luna laughed and shook her head at his antics, causing him to turn his head in her direction, ears pointed forward curiously. He still wasn't sure what to make of this girl who was so gentle but firm with him, who was actually paying attention to him. He had expected her to maybe work with her once and then leave him out to pasture, but no, here she was again.
BeLuna smiled at him and then went to grab him some oats, maneuvering carefully around the gelding to place the food in his bucket. The whole time he watched her carefully, still unsure what her motives were. He flinched as she patted him gently on the neck, but it didn't hurt so he just blew hot air at her before turning his attention to the vitamin-enriched oats. He had no idea what this stuff was, as all he had ever eaten was grass and hay thrown to him by his previous owners. Luna stood off to the side, watching as Ace looked first at her, then back to the bucket. He sniffed at it gently and then lipped at the top, pulling back his lips from his teeth in a comical expression at the new taste. BeLuna chuckled quietly, causing his head to shoot up and look at her curiously again.
After another moment, he returned to the oats and started eating with a fervor that kept Luna's smile on her face. While he was preoccupied with breakfast, she walked quietly out of the stall and to the tack room. She returned a few moments later with a bridle without a bit, a rag, and a bottle of glycerin soap/tack cleaner. Ace's head shot up over the edge of the stall as she sat on a tack box outside and began to clean the leather. He snorted into her hair before returning to his oats, causing her to chuckle again but not look up from her work. Today, she decided, she would get him used to the bridle...but not an ordinary bridle with a bit, a bridle that could control even a high strung horse such as himself without using cold metal or harsh nose straps. It would be difficult, but she was determined.

She arrived early to see her mare Fearfull Possession the huge black Irish Hunter who really was huge standing at 18 hands tall she was an amazing mare for her size and looks. Kanta today wore a fitted black t-shirt, revealing the three supports that she had to wear on her right arm, fitted black jeans and combat boots to keep her feet protected and dry should she chose to wash her mare. Entering the barn and seeing someone sitting outside a horses stable that happened to be oposite Sion's stable Kanta looked over to her and the horse that she could only assume was owned by the girl. "Hey"
She said not raising her voice at all as she aproached her mares stall to look up at the mare who was stood at the gate watching her mistress and waiting for her breakfast. "Hey girl, you want your feed don't you?" the mares head flung up and down at the suggestion of feed a smile crossing Kanta's lips. She walked away and soon returned with the mares feed and a hay net. "Come on get out of my way and you can have it." And with the near comand the Hunter stepped back into the back corner of her stall to allow her owner space to get in and put her feed in it's hung up bucket and tie up her hay net.
Soon the mares breakfast was in the bucket and the hay net tied to the loop on the walls, Kanta now closed the stable gate locking herself inside the stall with the pure black mare. Upturning the bucket she used to move the mares feed with she sat on it and watched her mare eat her feed greatfull that her mistress was here now, It got boring only having other horses here to comunicate with, and her owner seemed to understand her better than anyone else.

BeLuna didn't notice the girl come in, so concentrated was she on getting the bridle clean of grime and dirt from being unused for so long. That's probably why when the girl said a simple 'hey', BeLuna jumped a little. A friendly smile lit her face as she saw the other girl who was taking care of a rather large horse across the center aisle. "Oh, hey," she replied, deciding that her bridle was clean enough and she really should be social. "Beautiful horse," she said, as she always did about any animal really, but people loved to have their animals complimented. Especially when it was true, for the large mare really was incredible. "Um, my name's BeLuna, what's yours?"
It seemed pointless to try and talk to the other girl, though, she seemed to be there for her horse and her horse only. Which was perfectly fine, but BeLuna liked to be able to talk to the other students of the stable, get to know them maybe. She would need trail-riding buddies when she got Ace trained anyway. When the door to the black mare's stall closed, shutting the girl inside, Luna shrugged to herself and turned to Ace, whose head was hanging out of his stall eagerly. She reached up to pet his nose and his head flew up suddenly, the whites of his eyes showing briefly. "Someone's a little frisky today," she murmured to herself, wondering how the whole bridle thing would go if he was like this. It occurred to her then that perhaps he had never been ridden at all, bareback or otherwise.
She had a lot of work ahead of her.
A small yip got her attention away from Ace for a moment and her eyes followed a large brown pup who was racing at top speed down the center aisle of the barn towards her. "Brandy! Come here, girl!" BeLuna called, although it was unnecessary. The Irish Setter-Golden Retriever mix that was almost too big to be called a puppy was already barreling straight towards her mistress. "Sit!" Luna commanded just before the pup was going to knock her over. Immediately, Brandy sat and looked up at BeLuna expectantly, tongue wagging out of her mouth. "Good girl!" Luna knelt down and gave the pup the affection that Brandy was looking for.
After a moment or two of this, BeLuna looked up to see Ace's head hanging out looking at the girl and dog being so affectionate. He snorted loudly, once again jealous that he was not the center of attention. Brandy just looked up at him with a floppy-eared grin and yipped again. Ace's ears flattened, then perked forward and he snorted through his nose at the puppy, who in turn ran behind BeLuna. "Alright, you two, that's enough. Bran, stay with me and out of the way of his hooves," she instructed the pup as she opened up Ace's stall again. Somehow, the dog seemed to understand and stayed off to the side as Luna quickly slipped a halter on Ace's head and led him out of the stall, cross-tying him before he had a chance to try and get away. He stood there, confused, for a moment, looking at her with a curious expression.

She felt extremely rude sitting in her mares stall, but was always terible at talking to people without feeling like she is getting in the way or anoying them or something. Opening the stable door as the girl spoke to her Kanta gave her a quick and freindly smile. "I'm Kanta, but people tend to call me Raie. And thanks, He is handsome" She finaly said, and by the time she finished speaking there was a puppy running down the center aisle and toward the girl. The puppy reminded her she had to go and let Kase out of the tack shed soon.
"Hey nice dog. Would they be alright if I brought my dog up here, he will possibly just either follow me aorund or try to play around with her." She asked, she wasn't about to go and get her German Sheppard if this persons dog was going to attack him or run away from him. After all he wasn't exactly a small dog he was actually pretty big for his breed and ex police force so yeah he was a wonderfull dog but it was on what the other would think of him.
Sion poked her head over her stall door when she first heard her master talking then with more intrest when she heard the yips of a canine of sorts. Nickering to the horse across the from her she was a freindly mare and saw the other horse as unsettled as a pose to relaxed and happy like she was even with the puppy running around in here.
Kanta followed the girls and her horse carefull to keep a distance for a number of reasons, one of them being a personal reason, others just being polite toward the girl and her animals. Sion just watched her human walking away so returned to her feed and hay so she wouldn't get in the way or something.

ooc~ 'He' is handsome? Is the horse a boy or girl? I'm really confused XD
bic~ "It's very nice to meet you Kanta. Now Raie doesn't seem like a nickname that would go with Kanta," BeLuna replied, returning the friendly smile with one of her own. She wasn't making fun of the girl's nickname, she wouldn't do that, but she wasn't finished talking either. "So why do people call you Raie?" She was glad that the girl wasn't totally ignoring her either, it was nice to have someone to talk to while taking care of a horse. Sometimes she liked her privacy, but she really wanted to get to know some of the other students in the stable.
Luna looked up from petting Brandy to answer Kanta. "Oh, sure. Brandy's a sweetie and won't harm any living thing, but she'll probably be shy at first. She's not exactly afraid of other dogs, just wary of them but once she sees what your dog is like, she'll be fine," she replied with a nod, affectionately rubbing the puppy's ears.
Ace looked up at the mare making funny noises at him and tossed his head a little in her direction, trying to mimic her whinny. It came out as more low-pitched, but he tried to make it sound like a greeting. He, like Brandy, had really no idea how to behave around other members of his species. As soon as he was cross-tied, he tried to twist his head around to see the mare but was distracted by treats in BeLuna's hand.
"I would hurry up and go around him quickly, and quietly while he's distracted, I'm not sure how he'll react being cross-tied, I just got him yesterday and I'm still feeling him out," BeLuna instructed Kanta, feeding Ace slowly while she waited for the girl to pass them so she could get her dog. Ace suddenly stiffened and looked at the puppy, who was sitting quietly nearby, chewing on a bone. His ears flicked towards the small animal and he stretched his neck towards her, snorting and causing her to look up and yip. She was not afraid of horses, they were just big beasts that her owner could control easily. Dogs, now, were unpredictable.
Ace tossed his head, almost hitting BeLuna, and stamped a hoof. He was not enjoying the cross-ties. Luna shook her head at him and held the bridle in her hand, trying to decide the best way to go about getting it on his head.

"I get called Raie because my second name is Railet." she answered to the girls question with a smile. Quickly slipping past the girl and her horse as the request was passed that she passed the horse quickly to get her dog. She understood that horses sometimes played around with there owners when they were new to stables or something. Soon 'dancing' out of the barn Kanta walked over to the tack shed and called for her dog to come out to her. His back reached her waist and he was a pure black German Shepard Dog of about three feet tall. His collar was made of black leather studded with metal spikes, and a tag with his details on it.
Re-entering the barn with Kase at her heel she smiled down to the canine. Kase sat at her side when they reached the area of the barn in which they wanted to be, Raie looking up at BeLuna and her horse she smiled but seeing what the girl was trying to figure out she walked a little closer. "Would you like a little help?" she offered because she could hold the horse over the top of his head to help and try and keep him calm while BeLuna put the equipment on him. But she understood that this horse was new to the area and possibly just needed the care of one person so Rai would stand back and watch ready to help if absoutley needed or unless requested.
Kase slowly wandered toward Brandy his head lowered so he wouldn't seem so big and imposing to the little puppy, his toung hung from his mouth in the fun way a dogs should but he was still getting used to life outside of the police force so walking like this was weired for the well trained canine. Most of his younger years spent training as a police dog and now he was taken out due to being shot in a fight and the police couldn't risk it again so they sold him for a fair price.

"Ah, well then I do believe I now have a reason to call you Raie, Raie," BeLuna joked with a friendly smile. Ace, thankfully, made no move towards Kanta except to flick his ears casually in her direction. Luna gave a sigh of relief; at least he wasn't too terribly skittish. He seemed a nice enough, horse, she decided, just high energy, untrained, and perhaps a little untrusting. But with a little food, or a lot of food, and some love, not to mention some hard work, she could get through to him, she was sure. He jerked his head away as she attempted to pat it gently, and she sighed. Maybe it wouldn't be that easy. At least he wasn't aggressive.
Brandy's ears also pricked forward as she heard the girl come back, followed by the scent of dog. Her senses worked together to put together first the scent and sound of the huge dog and then the view of him, walking docilely behind his owner. Her ears immediately went down and she shrunk herself into as small a position as possible, tail between her legs. The overgrown puppy, who may one day be almost the size of Kase or at least compare to him, scooted into the shadow of Ace's stall, hiding from the huge dog.
"Yea, if you wouldn't mind, just distract him with these treats," Luna said to Raie's offer of help, handing the girl her handful of treats. "He loves food, apparently, and that should keep him busy while I get this bridle on him." With that, she got to work unclipping the halter from around his ears and nose, reclipping it quickly around his neck, loosely, still leaving him cross-tied but now his head was free. While the big gelding was distracted by food, she slipped the bridle over his head and latched it quickly. It wasn't a tight bridle, but it fit him well enough and would control him without hurting him.
When she was done, she stepped back a pace to admire her work and clipped the lead on him. Her work had been so quiet and gentle, Ace hadn't felt a thing and now looked at her curiously as if to say, 'Well, what did you do?' "Thanks," she said to Kanta.

Moving in to do as requested and then taking a step back once her work helping was done Raie glanced over to her dog, Kase was slowly and carefully wandering toward where the smaller dog had run to so she could get away from him. Giving a small whimper to her trying to show her that just through size and color didn't show him as mean or agressive he was a lovley dog and just wanted to say his hello to the younger canine here.
"Not a problem, if you need any more help at any time give me a shout, i'm more than happy to help as are my mares, I know some horses prefer another equine of sorts to be around. And some riders the same, they prefer to have someone watching no matter how well behaved there pet is. Well I shall leave you to your work unless you need more help, and in that case i will be here untill as late as pissible."
Keeping back so she wouldn't startle the equine or more to the point distract him with more treats or something of the like. Her 18 hand irish hunter mare stood watching now waiting to see what would be happening today.
