Wearing blue faded jeans, a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, A writs splint stopping him moving his left writs, a cruel reminder of an acident. Combat boots keeping his feet dry and a black leather cowboy hay to keep the sun out of his face.
Stood before him was a huge 18hh black tabino paint drum horse. His fur black and white, while his mane was black blending to white at his withers and his tail white with some black strands. Long feather around his large feet, and a long mane. The stallion stood paitently giving his caring master time to sort out the equipment.
Using the hose Toryn made sure that Never's coat was wet and dripping before he put the hose back and turned it off. Pulling equine shampoo from a kit he started to work it into the huge horses coat making sure that there was no spot missed. Once the stallion's coat was covered in soap suds Ryn picked up the hose turning it on once again he hosed the suds off of his stallion. Once done he put the hose back and made sure it was off before pulling a towel from his kit.
Walking back up to the stallion Ryn started to rub his horses coat dry. once his coat was nearly dry Ryn put the now wet towel back in his box choosing a brush next he slowly set to work at brusshing the huge stallions damp pelt soon his coat would be dry.
Bailie had just dropped her horse off in the pasture. He needed to socialize anyways. She knew he didn't like it, but he would deal with it. Sandstorm was being such a leech these days. She had been walking a while and the things surrounding her didn't seem familiar. When she was getting worried about being lost Bailie stumbled across a building. It smelled of horses, but it wasn't the stables.
She turned the corner of the building and looked inside. Washing stalls? She had never known these were here. Bailie made a mental note to take Storm here later. His silly hide needed a bath. The blond jumped when she hear a noise and saw movement. There was someone else here. Quietly she crept in. There was a boy and his horse. She straightened out her shirt and approached him.
"Hes really pretty." She said softly with a smile.
Someone was coming and the first warning he got was when Never raised his head sudenly and looked to the entrance. Soon bringing Ryn to look up at the shadow cast on the floor. Folowing it up to the base of a person then looking up to her face when she spoke startling the stallion enough to make the little flinch he gave easily visible.
"Erm thanks. I'm Toryn and this Never Ending Dream. But you can call me Ryn and him Never."
Raising his left hand to shake her hand while his right rested against the stallions face to try and keep him calm. Ryn hated people seeing the splint around his wrist but for nopw he would put up with it. Shaking his hair out of his face he looked at the girl and wondered where her horse was. A nudge on his shouleder from the stallion told him Never was getting worried.
"It's alright son, you know your safe."
He still held his hand out waiting for the girl to take it just to show good favour more than anything to show his horse that if he could both talk to and make a small amount of contact with new people they were safe to be around. An abused past for this horse always meant he found humans hard to trust so followed Ryn around like a shadow.
Pulling his hand back pretty fast looking at the girl then to his horse. With a small nod from his horse his next answer was clear, he was always weary of others around the huge stallion but not for his own sake. But for theres or his horses, stepping to stand at the horses shoulder he watches the girl.
"Sure just be carefull, he has a fough past and is often scared of people. He is like a shadow for me, but other people he gets either defencive of me or just plain terified. But I think and hope he will be alright. Let me just get him out of here."
Grabbing the leather lead that was hanging from teh stallions halter not tied to anything because the horse barely ever needed to be lead anywhere he just followed his owner. But when it came to meeting to new people the stallion could become one of two things, sometimes three. He would either become vicious, hide behind his owner, or love the person on sight. He seemed happy with Bailie and so Ryn was relaxed enough to let her pet him.
Leading the stallion out of the stall he brought him round to face the girl. Realising he didn't know her name.
"What's your name?"
He was polite with his words just doing everything he could to make sure the huge stallion was happy with who his owner was talking to.
Bailie slowly inched closer to Never. She was handsome and hoped that she wouldn't spook him.She loved horses with all her heart so she would never hurt one, but they could still be easily scared if they had suffered from abuse. Slowly she streached out her hand and gently stroked his muzzle.
"I'm Bailie. If I had known this place was here I would of brought my horse Sandstorm, but he is out in the pasture now. Hes been a leech recently, not that its a bad thing, but he needs to go out and interact with other horses. Hes so silly, but I love him to death. So how long have you been here?"
Never stretched his neck and brought his muzzle to the female humans hand acepting being stroked taking a big step forward asking his master to drop the lead and happy once his request was filled by Ryn placing the leather rope over the stallions back and walking at his side watching the girl all the time.
"Looks like someone has made a freind hey." He laughed at this comment and watched the two as Never walked right up to her without a worry. "Hey why don't you bring your horse in here and let them meet, Maybe we could take them out for a ride."
He stood at the stallions side waiting for a sudden change that never came. He was suprised, maybe this was how he had to introduce the stallion to every other person he knew.
Bailie giggled slightly. Go get Sandstorm? It didn't sound like a bad idea. The pasture wasn't that far down the road and she could be there and back in probably ten minutes so why not?
"Alright. The pasture is down the road a little ways. I'll run down and go get him then I'll come back."
Before anything could be said Bailie was off. She was running as fast as she could down the road. She would have to saddle Storm when she got there though she was tempted to ride him bare back. She had done it just once before and she loved it, but not this time. Maybe next time. Thank god she had her pumas on instead of flip flops or running this far would be hard.
She kept running like this for around three minutes before slowing to a jog. The pasture was in sight so she could slow down anyways. It wasn't long before she got there. She was out of breath, but she kept moving fast. Bailie jumped the fence and whistled for Storm. He turned his head and trotted over. She threw on the saddle pad, then the saddle and then the bridle. She could slow down a bit now. She was here and Storm was all saddled up. She pushed open the gate allowing her horse out first. Making sure the gate was latched tight she mounted her horse and rode back to the wash stalls. As soon as she arrived she slowed Storm to a walk then got off leading her horse into the stalls.
As the girl rushed off Ryn dropped Never's lead to the ground giving him the comand to stay and then walking to choose a saddle. Bulling out all his english kit out Ryn returns to Never and makes sure the stallions coat is dry, happy that it was he puts tha saddle on making sure it was tight and then put on the horses bridle. All the equipment was black with silver buckles. The saddle cloth used was a deep red rimmed in black. And an expensive brow band in the colors red black and silver.
By the time he was done Bailie was back and with a horse. Putting his used stuff to a side with his grooming kit Ryn leads Never out of the stalls. "He is handsome. Where would you like to go? are we gonna go on one of the trails or out on the arena?"
He let Never stand at his side without even thinking about holding any of the equipment that was on the horse. Never stood tall when the other horse came ovver and then snorted, he was always one to try and take lead or at least make sure that other horses knew there wasn't any point messing about around him or his owner.
The trails sounded good to her. Actually they sounded really good. She didn't know her way around here very well and and trip through the back road and little paths would help her become more farmilliar. "Lets goon one of the trails. Its shaded from the trees so the horses won't get over heatedand its really pretty."
Putting her foot in the stirrups she climbed onto Storm. He tossed his mane and Bailie patted his neck. He was acting like she was going to leave him in the pasture forever. She scratched behind his ears letting him know that he was ok.
Touching the stallions muzzle and using the normal comand the stallion layed down and allowed his master to flick his legs over the stallions back and sit in the saddle. Giving the comand and soon the stallion was standing with Ryn on his back. Placing his feet in the stirups and grabbing the reins Ryn looked down to Bailie and Storm.
"Yeah lets go"
With that Never was walking slowly away from the two and toward one of the trails, The stallion would allow his masters freind to take the lead but she would have to do so soon if she wanted to because his stride was long due to his pure size.
"What trail do you want to go on?"
He asked while they slowly walked away. Ryn twisted around in the saddle to look back at the two who they had now become freindly with.
She thought for a moment. Bailie didn't want ot go on a trail that was well known. Where was the adventure in that? She gazed down the shadowed paths colored green from the sunlight and leaves. There were a few that caught her attention and maybe they would travel down those paths.
"Well, what path do you know the least. I want to get out and explore!" Bailie said excitedly.
If she had been looking into a mirror she would of seen her eyes sparkle at the thought of going off into the unknown. They could mark their path and then follow it home when they got tired. Some how Bailie was reminded that she needed to go get her new horse Pocket Full of Sunshine. Maybe Ryn could help her out with that when they got back, if it wasn't to late.
He thought on his reply for a good few minuets befoer Never started leading them off onto a trail, he had walked both a number of times because he had been here a while now, but Never aparently knew what trail they were going out on and lead the way.
"Looks like were taking this trail. Any objections to it?"
He gave a small laugh at his stallion who seemed convinced that he knew where he was going but aparently didn't Ryn only assumed they started at the opposite end of the trail as to what they had done before. It would be fun reguardless so turning once again to face the girl he was riding out with and her horse, the black and white paint he rode leading the may now confused,
"I hope you arent in a rush to be back."
Once again he offered a laugh with his words for no-one here aparently knew the route.
((OOC // Are you able to start on one of the trails please? And I won't be replying for a week or so now.))
