Bailey was carried down the path by her noble steed Sandstorm. Well he was really more of a lazy bum, but she love him just the same. By her side was Ryn and his horse Never. She had never been down this path before. Then again she hadn't had time to venture around.
"This place is so pretty." Bailie said softly.
The day was warm with a gentle breeze. This particular path had a few trees with flowers so when the wind blew petals would be carried along with it making the path look like something from a post card.
"So when we get back to the stables later would you like to help me unload a new horse. Her name is Pocket Full of Sunshine and I'm going to need some help. She seems like a sweet heart from what her description read.I'm really excited to finally see her."
The pair kept trotting along the path jumping over obstacles and avoiding low branches. It was good to finally get away from it all. It was really relaxing. Gently, Bailie stroked the side of Storms neck. She thought about how he would react to Sunshine. He had been an "only child" so to speak and had gotten all of Bailie's attention. Hopefully there wouldn't be too much of a problem.
Allowing the huge stallion to trot carefully along the track picking his feet up and popping over obstacles as they came, but most he found himselfjust picking his feet up a tad higher for there wasn't much point jumping something that was small was there. Ryn watched the track and moved with the stallion, the english equipment changing his normal way of riding. Where Ryn would normally sit deep in a western seat he now sat straight and put more effort into riding.
"It really is isnt it."
Agreeing to the girls comment on the scenery Ryn glances down to her and her pony, the girl was rather very pretty but Ryn was carefull to make sure that he looked back at the track ahead of them. But soon found himself looking down again to listen to what the girl was saying, he had a new horse arriving only a colt but still he was due today so prehaps they would come together.
"Sure, did they say anything about her arriving with another horse, because I have a young colt by the name Sweet Little Keepsakes arriving today and I seem to rember them saying something about him possibly having company in the trailer. I may be wrong but it sounds about right."
"Now that you mention it I think they did." Bailie said after thinking for a moment. There was a moment of awkward silence.
"So whats your story? How long have you been here? Where were you originally from or have you lived here all your life? Tell me about yourself." She asked in an attempt to start a conversation.
"I hope I'm not being nosy. I'm kind of naturally curious."
Bailie reached up to grab a flower that she was passing. The branch was an inch or two above her head so it was easy for her to reach. The flower was pink in color and had an earthy aroma. She liked flowers for their beauty more than their scent anyways. She giggled softly and threw the flower into the air. Her eyes slowly followed as the breeze carried it away. She grabbed another and put it in Storm's mane. He looked irritably up at her and then shook it from his hair. Bailie's giggles turned into soft laughter.
She hoped that she didn't look childish in front of her companion, but she and Storm had a special bond. She had him since she was a kid and so a part of her still acted like a kid around him.
