I feel no shame I'm proud of where I came from I was born and raised in the boondocks One thing I know No matter where I go I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks And I can feel That muddy water running through my veins And I can hear that lullaby of a midnight train It sings to me and it sounds familiar And I can taste That honeysuckle and it's still so sweet When it grows wild On the banks down at old camp creek Yeah, and it calls to me like a warm wind blowing It's where I learned about living It's where I learned about love It's where I learned about working hard And having a little was just enough .:Dixie:. The sun was beating down on the Dixie the brown eyed girl who wore a t-nuts and some good old faded work jeans with her white stetson and justin boots on she stood beside her palomino quarter horse mare who stood over her looking at the large ring. It seemed they were looking it over for any problems but they were zoned in remembering the show life and wondering what it would be like to have a second chance in this. Dixie wanted so bad to be a legend just like her momma one of the best riders. She distinctly remembered the domed in arena the air condition the flashing of the camera the distinct smell of horse and rider and the thrown up dirt but also the adrenaline rush. If adrenaline was a drug she would be addicted at the moment. Dixie broke the memory almost instinctively petting the golden mare pelt kissing her nose. "You ready to try again girl" she asked Honey who had previously saddled and ready to ride once again. The only answer she got back was a look of happiness and a nudge towards the ring gate. Dixie smiled and grabbed the reins heading towards the gate to enter the ring.
The gate squeak as she opened it and Honey jerked her head up excited her pulse speeding up with interest. Dixies' own pulse answered the speeding pulse of the horse getting well and ready to go. Shutting the gate with a loud clank Dixie then mounted Honey checking her seating before setting Honey off into a leisure warm up walk. She did this for fifteen minutes then she began trotting the long fence and walking the short side of the fence. She practiced then with lead changes getting used to the seating once more. She walked the barrels acting like she was in the full out run dirt flying out behind them the only thing on her mind is getting back to base where the timer got to mere seconds her worst record ever was eighteen seconds her best timed in at twelve. She turned Honey around now staring down the ring like she was going to dominate this place. Dominate these barrels get home and time herself to see how bad she was since she had stopped practicing since her parents deaths.
Dixie sighed and took deep breath in and out. It seemed like Honey was doing the same the quietness almost soothing. Their heartbeats intertwined like that old saying three barrels two hearts one love. Her mother told her that one time in order to do this sport you needed a horse who was for you and who trusted you beyond anything and you had to put in blood and sweat and other bogus things. Dixie waited till the right possible moment her heart beat going crazy the sweat crawling down her face. Honey was calm and ready to go. Dixie leaned forward slightly bunching the reins up and then she squeezed her legs. Honey broke into a run merely a second at t hey were at the first barrels making a wide turn to wide and continuing to the second grabbing the pommel with her left hand and neck reigning with her right as she switched leads. Their breaths were in sync the rhythm just right like they belonged together.
The last and final barrel she turned it entirely to sharp. Doing so threw her off balance and she did an emergency dismount well it wasn't necessary emergency but she hit the ground with a thud and a rolling of feet and hands. She made a noise that wansnt audible and kind of laid there coughing. The air knocked out of her and now dusty with dirt. She was the nudged my a bridled bit it was Honey looking at her like she was retarded and wondering why she was on the ground and not on her back w here she was supposed to be. "Ill get up in a minute" Dixie said with a cough.
It's where I learned about Jesus And knowing where I stand You can take it or leave it, this is me This is who I am
Give me a tin roof A front porch and a gravel road And that's home to me It feels like home to me
(Chorus)
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks
You get a line, I'll get a pole We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole Five-card poker on a Saturday night Church on Sunday morning
(2x) You get a line, I'll get a pole We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole (Down in the boondocks) Five-card poker on a Saturday night Church on Sunday morning

Aaron McClain & Queen of Hearts It wasn't everyday Aaron wound up with a new horse. Of course, this was all couresy of his uncle Robert. Apparently while he'd been gone over the weekend, he'd been horse shopping. Aaron rolled his eyes, wondering how he had believed his uncle would go anywhere without looking up the local horses for sale. He was now standing next to the new horse, a mare with minimal paint markings, a deep bay base color and one hell of an attitude. She was sweet as sugar toward humans but other horses...well it was iffy at best. Her name was Queen of Hearts, also known as the Queen of Broken Bones. Apparently she had been heavily abused by the rodeo that had used her as a "wild" horse for competitions. Sucking in a breath, Aaron gathered Heart's reins and swung himself up into her saddle.
At first, Heart shied, arching her neck and prancing, not at all sure if she liked the human being on her back. Aaron let her prance, talking softly until she was still again. Patting the mare's neck, Aaron urged her toward the western ring and she went peaceably enough. Aaron smiled. He had only had her a few days and already it seemed Heart was getting to know him better and hadn't yet tried to throw him off the saddle.
As they neared the big ring however, Aaron reined Heart to a halt. The mare tossed her head and stomped her hoof, neck arched. There was already a pair in the ring and Aaron already knew that when it came to other horses that Heart had a bad temper.
"Easy girl, whoa, easy" Aaron murmured, shifting his weight in the saddle in case Heart tried to rear or buck.
Heart whinnied and tossed her head, prancing on the spot. Aaron bit his lip and walked the mare in a circle before trying to approach the ring again. This time Heart went as asked but kept tossing her head and weaving slightly as she walked. Overall the mare looked ready to either fight or bolt. When they got up to the ring however, Aaron frowned. The palomino was standing next to a...body....
"Hey, are you ok?" Aaron called, unsure of whether he could dismount and help without Heart going nuts.

Dixie had been unaware of her new visitor though who wouldnt be with a big horsey nose in your face. Dixie was her momma and Honey knew her momma was never on the ground it was just not natural unless they were laying together out in the pasture but they were working and Dixie never laid there like that. Honey nudged her and snorted and got a hand to the nuzzle and a push away Honey obliged her momma was okay. Honey suddenly became very uneasy shifting her massive weight from side to side like she wasnt sure to attack or protect. So instead Honey stomped her foot and that alerted Dixie. Only Honey did that when she felt like Dixie was in danger of something or perhaps even her. Honey had a problem with temperamental horse and always let it known to those who tried to nip her on the rump she was willing to kick their teeth in on more than one occasion. Dixie heard the masculine voice and just didnt want to move she was feeling where the pommel went down her rib cage that would be severely bruised in the morning. Dixie lifted her arm up and gave a thumbs up before slowly sitting up getting a good look around and holding her ribs. Honey nickered to the mare letting her know she meant business if she was coming anywhere near her human and that she was protective very protective.
Dixie grabbed her stirrup and used it to help herself up dust falling off her in clumps. She talked to Honey told her to stay and the mare did so. Dixie grabbed her hat patted the it on her jeans knocking the dirt off best she could oh well she had plenty of others. She walked over to the fence slowly holding the left side of her ribs s he was fine just banged up she needed to talk to this guy first. Honey stayed where she was told to. Dixie looked up the sun making her squint her eyes and looked at the other paintish mare. "Hey there girl" she cooed softly then turned her attention to the guy who seemed somewhat worried then she kind of wished she had played dead. He was so dreamy snap out of it Dixie she told herself and then gave him a smile "Hey" she said casually which was oh so Dixie acting like s he wasnt hurt which she probably was few cracked ribs were nothing she couldnt handle she took it like woman and put on a good face to. Honey nickered plastering her harks to her head stomping her hoof in annoyance.

As Aaron stood at the fence, he couldn't help but think he needed to find more guy friends or at least ride Comanche more. The mare in the ring stomped a hoof and sounded off unhappily at Heart. Heart of course, whinnied back, flinging her head up and stomping her front hooves. Aaron tugged the reins firmly, shifting his weight so he was pulling the reins to discourage Heart from rearing anymore. Heart pulled on the bit and swished her tail, neighing again at the palomino in the pen. Aaron rolled his eyes. "Quiet down Heart" Aaron muttered, tugging the reins firmly. Reluctantly the paint snorted and stopped pulling and thrashing. Instead, Heart settled for glaring at the palomino while Aaron turned his attention once again to the girl in the ring.
He looked at her just in time to receive a thumbs up which pulled a smile from him. Typical cowgirl, it doesn't hurt unless your dying. That was how Aaron had been raised in any case. His sisters were softer than that but still were made of pretty stern stuff. If there was no blood, nothing was wrong. Aaron claimed nothing was wrong even when there was blood and broken bones to boot.
Still, he felt sorry for the girl as she made her way toward him holding her ribs. He would have hopped the fence to help her if he could have trusted Heart not to hop it too and start fighting with the mare inside. Instead, Aaron just waited at the fence, leaning on the top rail as she approached.
"Hey" he replied, smiling. "Looks like you took a little spill. Feelin' ok?"
Heart snuffled and let the girl talk to her, looking the picture of innocence before shooting the horse equivilent of a death glare at the palomino. Aaron looked warningly at his mare.
"Sorry about Heart, she's not exactly social....spent too many years in the rodeo I guess."

Honey stamped her foot harder this time and whinnied back this one a little more than a warning. More along the lines saying completely bring it on and a snort to go along with that and a raking of hooves on the ground. Dixie wasnt in much pain unless she breathed in deeply meaning she probably had a cracked rib somewhere. "Sorry about that Honey is very protective of me and doesnt like aggressive horse around me or better yet her" Dixie said with a grin. When he told her hey and such and asked how she was doing she wondered if he had seen her fall off and couldnt help but wonder did her legs actually go over her head. She tried picturing her fall it wasnt working out cause all she saw was pommel then felt dirt. Never knew where you were going to land when you dismounted when u didnt want to. Dixie shook her head and spoke again "You kidding me hell I feel like I've been hit by a truck but yea Im good not a cowgirl if you cant take pain" she laughed holding her ribs tighter.
"Yea I just turned the barrel to sharp I havent did barrel runs since I was fourteen so I was trying to get back into it so I can be like I used to" Dixie said. Dixie looked at Heart and shook her head smiling. "Sounds like she was abused then or picked on by other horses" she said not sure why she would be so aggressive towards horses and not humans. Dixie turned and looked at Honey who seemed snooty and ill "Honey act your age" Dixie said to the golden mare who responded with a nicker of her own pretty much saying sure whenever she leaves. "I guess Honey doesnt approve much of your horse but to me shes beautiful make a wonderful western disciple horse especially with that sturdy well built body of her" she said and then turned to look at Honey who had decided to glare daggers at Heart. "Oh did you want to use the ring I could use a break " she asked curiously "just let me move Honey over there so it wont be a fight" she said.

"I think she was probably picked on by a bunch of stallions and stuff" Aaron said, patting Heart's neck. The paint quarter horse snorted and tried to ignore Honey's challenge because that was what Aaron wanted but it was hard. Aaron kept a close check on Heart's reins and nodded to the girl with another smile. "That would be great. Heart will probably behave better once she gets some of this energy out. Just leave the gate open when you take Honey out and I'll go in. Maybe watching a little will help you? No offense or anything." It was easy to fall on barrels, very easy. Aaron had lost count of how many times he'd been thrown out of the saddle by one of his past horses or even by Heart and Comanche. He used to mark his calendar on which days he got thrown so he could tell if he was getting better. Still, he hadn't done that in a long time.
Aaron tapped Heart's side with the heel of his boot once Honey was clear of the pen. Heart snorted softly and strode toward the gate, swishing her black tail and looking ready to go. At the gate, Aaron pulled a stop watch out of his pocket and put it around his neck before riding his mare into the pen.
Now in working mode inside the pen, Heart paid no mind to Honey or the human girl her master had talked to. Her eyes were on the barrels, keen as eagle eyes studying each one. Aaron could feel the shift in Heart and smiled. This was where she was meant to be. It was obvious Heart was ready to go, hyped like an athlete before the game. Heart was no cheerleader. Nope, she ruled the ring, or so she thought. Of course Aaron had more experience with Comanche and often found Chief to be the best barrel racer he had ridden but Heart was good since she had actually been ridden in the pros in actual rodeos. It made a bit of a difference, obviously, in temperament.
Aggressive out of the ring, fast and focused in the ring.

"So shes like this to all the horses then" Dixie asked curiously. "oh if you have warmed her up yet just keep away from Honey dont need her jumping the rails which she probably would over me shes like a momma hen" Dixie said. "Anways ill leave the gate open and Im taken I know I need alot more practice Ive been laying off all these years and trying to come back in one day isnt going to happen I know Im going to have to bust my butt to get back at the level I was" she said. Honey was proud and sometimes to proud for her own good and then Dixie whistled to the golden mare who trotted over to her harks perked and a friendly nicker to her momma. "Thats a sweet girl yes you are" Dixie said kissing the horse. With that Dixie saddled back up and canter over to a holding pen dismounting slowly and stowing Honey in there.
Honey was none to happy with Dixie at the moment she was kind of ill. She didnt like this strange horse near Dixie. Besides that innocent look she gave Dixie was nothing like the knives and daggers Honey gave Heart. Dixie shook her head and couldnt help but grin at the bickering horses and went over to the gate to let him. The gate squeaked and Dixie opened it right on up and they walked in and with that Dixie shut it. "Oh by the way my names Dixie Im new here" she said with a radiant smile one that said she was a natural smiler and always tried to make people laugh even when she felt like crap. She figured this place would be teaming with people but at the moment she had only seen two people a girl with a biting horse and now a boy with a rodeo horse. Dixie shook her head her life just kept getting better and better all the time besides she needed to open up more since her parents death she pretty much spent all her time with her horses and what not. Her friends didnt know who she was anymore when you loose both parents in one night they kind of change a person instead of Dixie becoming depressed she became detached from everyone and so due to that her Grandma sent her here to meet new people and friends and whatever else came with teenage lifestyle before entering adulthood.

"Trust me, Heart acting like this isn't new" Aaron assured, riding Heart into the ring once Honey was clear with Dixie. It was obvious the palomino didn't like Heart and Heart had no love for Honey but Aaron hoped this sort of behavior was just temporary, brought on by her transition from rough rodeo life to a classy stable. She didn't bite the horse in the stall next to her anymore so maybe it was just a thing of Heart getting used to other horses? Who knew. Either way for now she was a pain in the neck when anyone else was around which was why he decided to work her today since most people had taken advantage of the weather to ride the trails.
In the pen, Aaron swung out of the saddle and pointedly dropped the reins. Heart snorted but didn't move, having been trained to be ground-tied. Smiling, Aaron went over to the gate and pulled it closed, latching it firmly before returning to his mare. Gathering the reins, Aaron boosted himself back into the saddle. When Dixie spoke again, Aaron looked over at her and smiled.
"My name's Aaron and this little charmer is Queen of Hearts though some say she has no heart. At least that was what the rodeo said and liked about her." Aaron rolled his eyes and patted Heart's neck.
The mare tossed her white-blazed face and set off at a brisk jog around the arena, now paying absolutely no attention to Honey. Her dark eyes seemed to light up when they fell on the barrels, muscles moving smoothly under dark bay and white skin. Aaron kept the reins held loosely, looking completely relaxed and like his horse, watching the barrels with each pass. They made three loops around the ring before Aaron guided Heart to the end of the ring without the barrels. Wheeling the mare to face the barrels, Aaron glanced at Dixie and winked. Grabbing the stop watch, Aaron tucked it under the collar of his shirt and took up the reins in both hands.
Heart took off like a bullet from a gun toward the first barrel. Aaron balanced on the turn, not leaning too far out as dirt was kicked up like ocean spray from Heart's hooves. His eyes were instantly on the second barrel, adrenaline going even with just a practice run. He could just imagine the crowds in his mind with cameras and cheering. Heart cleared the first barrel and made her way to the second, leaving deep hoofprints in the dirt lining the bottom of the pen. The mare wheeled around the second barrel, Aaron holding the reins again in one hand and using his other arm out to help balance when the turn went a little wide.
With a snort the former rodeo star cannoned around the last barrel, spraying but a shower of dust before making her way back to the other end of the ring. Aaron reined her to a halt a few feet from the fence, letting the mare trot in a circle before coming to a full halt. Heart tossed her head and whinnied, this time not out of aggression but out of joy. Aaron laughed and patted the mare's neck, looking over at Dixie.
"How bad was it?"

Dixie casually reclined on the fence the metal hot to touch but nothing unbearable besides her ribs weren't hurting as bad now so she shook her head. Then from there she decided to keep and eye on him the guy who had been practicing to show her what to do. She needed to work on barrels her poles and such were good though she was itching to team rope and was hoping someone would help her in doing that since there is no 'I' in team. Dixie smiled and him and blew him a good luck kiss didnt want him turning out to be like her mouth full of dirt. Just then Dixie got a text message from her grandma and she shook her head afraid to see what grandma had said. Like the others texts she had received 'made any friends?' 'Found a cute boy' 'wheres the cheese' Dixie rolled her eyes when she read the text and again it was about a boy adoubly and she shook her head snickering at her grandma. So Dixie played a prank and held her purple scoop phone up putting it on camera and snapping a picture as Aaron was coming back to where he started. She put under the picture message 'hows that I think his tractor is sexy dont you' Dixie put her phone up and burst into giggles trying to stop laughing no telling what kind of reply she was going to get out of that.
Honey had quieted down and very used to Heart now not feeling a threat from her. Dixie snickered and when he came back to her and asked how he did she gave him a mischievous grin "well you did wonderful better than me can I try again" she asked looking at him petting Hearts neck right near his legs Dixie was only five eight so she wasnt exactly tall but she was taller than most girls. She waited for his answer though she really did want to ride and didnt like being left out watching however even though she had took a picture she had been observing his technique he had a good seat and most of all a good horse with a little more working with other horses she would be a wonderful broke horse. From there she smiled and looked like she was up to something which she liked to have fun and who wouldnt with this hot cowboy.

Aaron smiled and nodded, patting Heart's neck. The mare snorted softly and lowered her head so her neck was almost straight with her shoulders, the typical resting position for most ranch horses when they knew they wouldn't be moving for a while. Aaron flashed a grin to Dixie and glanced around the stable yard, half hoping to see Aiden but sadly his, well, girlfriend wasn't there. Turning his attention back to the brunette, Aaron swung out of the saddle. "That's fine, you were here first" Aaron said, inclining his head toward her. "I'll probably just do a little trail riding with Heart and come back later."
Gathering Heart's reins, Aaron offered a treat to the mare from his pocket. Heart took it with surprising delicacy for such a hot-blooded mare. Crunching the treat, Heart shook her neck and head making her black mane flare up and her bridle jingle softly. With a snort, energy somewhat sated, Heart rested her head on Aaron's shoulder, nose bumping his cheek making him laugh.
"What time do you think you'll be done with the ring?" Aaron asked, checking his watch while Heart snuffled and nudged his head with her nose.
Finding her owner was ignoring her, Heart snorted bitterly and let her head hang again, swishing her tail and starting to once again feel antsy. Her dark eyes roamed from Dixie to Aaron and then to Honey before repeating the whole cycle. She wasn't up for fighting but still seemed tense around Honey and kept her owner very distinctly between herself and the palomino quarter horse. Other than that though, Heart didn't vocalize her obvious dislike of the other mare but tried to tug on the reins to make her master move.

Dixie stood there looking up at him a smile no longer on her face she needed to go. She felt like she hadnt made a great impression on him he probably had a girl so she wasnt going to bother hell she practically threw herself at his feet to be friends. Especially with the way he kept looking over to the barn in hopes of finding someone who wasnt there. Dixie petted Heart once more seeing that her owner wasnt paying her much attention making her frown and look down at the ground almost embarrassed to even be here shuffling her her feet in the dirt. With that Dixie shook her head "naw thats fine you can have the ring ill be on my way I have other things to do" she said though she didnt she had picked up on hints from him guys acted different when they were taken and he was radiating taken off him. She then was heading over to the fence where Honey was kept opening it Heart had calmed and Dixie wasnt going past him so pulling Honey out. Honey nudged Dixie like she knew something was up perking her harks in order to atleast get a smile but all Honey got was a grim look so she even tried lipping her shirt and Dixie just softly pushed her nose away. With that Dixie mounted with ease finding her stirrups. Honey had an immediate attitude change she ignored harks curious as to what was wrong the horses head starting to droop. "Come on girl" she said heading for the gate exiting it. She was heading for the barn where she would put Honey up and run to her run Dixie was new here and she shouldnt have expected to make new friends or more than friends but she did just cause she was in a new area her past here unknown.

Aaron's eyebrows shot up when Dixie suddenly offered to leave. As she did, he couldn't shake the feeling of being a jerk. He hadn't meant to come in and push her out of the pen. She needed practice and he had nothing but time, she didn't have to leave. Ground tying Heart, Aaron jogged after Dixie as she was about to head off toward the barn. "Hey! Hold on a second! You don't have to leave, if you need to practice then practice." Aaron hopped the fence, boots crunching on the gravel as he made his way after Dixie, leaving Heart in the pen. She would be fine, nobody was around to mess with his mare and Heart wouldn't let anybody mess with her if they were crazy enough to try.
"I didn't mean to make you feel like I was pushing you out, I was rude to show off." Aaron flushed and rubbed the back of his neck looking shamefaced. "If you ever need help let me know but the ring is yours, take it or leave it." He cast her a shy smile before turning back to the ring.
Clicking his tongue, Aaron brought Heart trotting to the gate. The mare tossed her head impatiently as Aaron unbolted the gate and pulled it open. Gathering the mare's reins, Aaron boosted himself up into the saddle. Heart pranced on the spot for a second, acting like she couldn't decide if she wanted to go back in the ring or head to the trails like Aaron wanted her to. Aaron clicked his tongue firmly and tapped his heel against Heart's side.
The paint quarter horse nickered and arched her neck, starting off toward the trailheads a a slow walk. The gate on the western pen was left open like a blank check for Dixie to take or leave. Call Aaron a knight in shining armor or whatever but that was simply how he was. He was raised to be courteous toward all women and not bully people but right now he felt like he had even if that wasn't what Dixie had intended.

Dixie was getting ready to bolt to the barn though she heard him calling to her. Honey perked her harks and swished her tail lazily and it took everything Dixie had in order to not bolt like a skittish horse. When he spoke to her she kept her mouth shut no longer smiling but not frowning so not like Dixie she was quiet abnormal she wasnt normally this quiet. She sighed and shook her head brown eyes looking at him unsure at where he was getting at though. She had acted like she had been hurt by him showing off b ut it hadnt been that it wasnt her intent to bother him like that and knowing him he was raised to be the perfect gentleman around the guys which bothered her some. She was afraid some girl was going to hurt him bad and couldnt help but frown slightly she didnt want to imagine someone hurting a nice person like Aaron it just wasnt right. Dixie wasnt one for two timing but her grandma had been one of those overly 'friendly' people which is how Dixie mother was produced and how grandma says it if the boy dont have a ring on his finger he isnt safe. Her grandma was a serious perv and Dixie couldnt help but shake her head and laugh though while she did this Aaron had made it far out. Dixie felt bad now for making him think something bad had happened between them in the ring. Dixie tilted her head and picked up Honeys' reins with that Dixie set Honey into a quick trot and then into a flat out running loosing her hat in the process but oh well she had plenty more least she kept her seat. The wind was strong and she squinted her eyes curious and looked at the figure. "Hold up" Dixie yelled out to him slowing Honey as to not startle Heart and then came up to him "sorry about that it wasnt you" she said with a delicate smile.

Aaron let Heart pick her pace for taking the trail, still rather troubled. He didn't like hurting people, it just wasn't him. Competing was one thing but in that, everybody knew somebody had to hurt or somebody to win. That was just how it was and always would be but, Aaron didn't look at the world like one big competition to be on top. Yeah he was addicted to the adrenaline rush and the sound of a counting clock but that wasn't all he ever heard. Trying to brush off his worries, the Kansas-born teen heeled Heart into a lively canter as they reached the trail head. The mare picked up the pace enthusiastically, hooves thudding on the ground as she moved forward, Aaron keeping his head down out of the wind.
A few minutes later the teen heard the sound of hoof beats. Remembering the last time he'd cantered the trail with Comanche he had almost hit somebody, Aaron reined Heart to a standstill. The mare snorted unhappily. She liked going fast, not standing still! Shaking her head, the mare tugged the bit lightly but stopped when Aaron tugged the reins enough to make her stop. Letting her head droop, Heart and Aaron turned to see the palomino and Dixie coming up behind them. The girl's hat was gone but that was all that was different.
"Don't worry 'bout it cowgirl" Aaron said as the palomino came up alongside Heart. "I shoulda' just let ya be. I know how annoying it is getting pushed around in a new place."
Heart snorted and looked the opposite direction of Honey, determined to ignore the golden quarter horse whom in her opinion was pompous and overrated. Now that she'd gotten her blood flowing, Heart was ready to go again, in more ways then one. She was up for a fight or up for a run, whichever Aaron allowed but to her disappointment, Aaron wasn't allowing either at the moment. Heart tossed her head and let out an annoyed whinny, demanding her master's attention.
Aaron glanced at Heart and raised a brow. "What has gotten into you today? Take it easy girl, chill." Aaron patted Heart's neck making the mare snort and glare at Dixie an Honey.

Dixie was soft spoken though he took it lightly she felt she had hurt him. "Im sorry really sorry for acting the way I did it was not your fault its just mine" she said casually. Though she did move Honey into a walk knowing she could stand still but the competitiveness in the two horses which walked along side each other seemed somewhat tense Dixie ignored it and it seemed so did Honey. Dixie looked back to him and touched his shoulder affectionately "if you think you have something to do with the way I feel race me and Ill feel better" she said winking at him in the most coyest of ways. With that Dixie made her way deeper into the trail road where it widened out. "Ok Cowboy you wanna" she asked in a curious voice her brown eyes probing him for an answer. Honey was ready harks flickering every which way she loved to run and could get through the trail with no problems and even could jump over objects and it would help t he horses whom seemed still even now glowering at each other. Even though he might didnt want to race her Dixie knew if he cared for her feelings at all he would race and he would very much enjoy cause Dixie was bad. " Only if you agree the rules are simple we race our horses get to that tree and then run to the next one on foot and whoever gets there first and gets whatever they want" she said with a sly smile raising her eyebrow.
