Matt didn't think she looked goofy laughing at him, he was a little offended but not much, because it had been pretty clumsy of him. He smiled and chuckled a little to himself, too, watching the big stallion try to cheer his mistress. "Hope I didn't spook him too bad falling off of him," he said as he stood up, gesturing to the stallion. "Yea, let's go with that and I'll carry you back," he joked about her making him the 'hero' of their made-up story.
He looked up as she joked around with him too, saying it was better he have his first fall then when he was little. "The closest I came to that before was falling off of a motorcycle when I was ten," he said, shaking his head with a smile as he remembered the incident. "But I hope it didn't damage your bottom permanently." He winked at her and with any other girl would have made a more obscene remark and perhaps smacked her butt...but Armelia made him want to impress her. He didn't want to be crude around her, it felt...not right.
He nodded with her explanation of why his plan was flawed. "Good points. Well, your story is more believable, so let's go with that, shall we? Maybe we won't get in so much trouble if it's the horse's fault...or my fault as an inexperienced rider," he said with a smile, wondering why he had thought up such a stupid suggestion in the first place. Matt saw her indecision as he offered her his hand and he was secretly praying for her to take it. He smiled at her when she did, liking the feel of her delicate hand in his, well, not-so-delicate one, wondering how she could control a fully grown stallion with such small hands. That made him wonder how she would control him. Perhaps she was a stronger girl than he'd taken her for at first glance and she could very well have him whipped if they ever dated. I mean, look at him now! Holding back from obscene jokes, holding hands, even getting on a horse for her! He was halfway there to being whipped already!
Still, maybe he didn't mind. He held her hand gently as they walked, thinking up conversation. "So, Alto, tell me something about yourself."

Eyes moved gently to face him as she listened. The wind whispered hushed tones, as if it was nervous of an incoming storm. She had heard about it and stroke the large stallion. He could feel it and tensed lightly. He didn’t like the blow of the wind; it was harder to hear that way. She cooed at the large stallion, smiling softly while whispering some soothing words. He eased up and walked beside her like a puppy but sighed now and then eyes half closed, he felt lazy. Nah, you just gave him a reason to cling on me seeing as you are the big bad wolf who fell of his precious back. He looks like a handful but his a teddy bear and a child actually. Her voice was sweet and once again she felt as though she was much safer. What was it with guys that just made her feel safe? She couldn’t stand girls, well that was mostly because they had backstabbed her and used her. She shook the memory out of her head and remembered her brother. Oh, that was probably why. She had a brother, a handsome one many had said, she hadn’t seen him since she was ten. They had always been in contact but just lost it. She felt uneasy thinking about it but had to let it go. Adrian could take care of himself, she knew that.
Separating the past with the present the feeling of his hand with hers was comforting, she didn’t know what was causing that effect but wasn’t going to ask about it either. Her head turned as she heard his deep voice and Armelia noticed how gentle and jokingly it was but at the same time she felt as though he was holding back, but what? Did she dare ask? No chance. She was too shy to do that. Ah, I never tried on, my brother came back beaten up after he fell and my dad noticed the scratches on it. And no it won’t be hurt permanently, just a little sore tomorrow I guess, lucky me for not riding until a month or something. She gave a half smile as it got hooked upon her lips. That was probably the reason for her rather sudden point. She hadn’t been riding since she told Amy that she was going to sell Loop. Twister was great to ride nonetheless but she couldn’t fully train him until he stopped shying against the jumps. Silly on the other hand would be a handful and the female remembered something. She had to ask, but not yet. Matt was talking again, not that it annoyed her, she liked to listen to his voice, it was comforting and made her feel well, safe.
She looked at Loop, his eyes were still half closed as he just daintily and rather lazily walked beside her. The thought of everyone believing it was his fault was almost hilarious but she didn’t laugh at it. She didn’t want to offend Matt more then she probably had. Hmm…Perhaps, or I can take the blame seeing as it was my idea. I think Amy will let me go easier then you. To get scolded after being here in a couple of days isn’t good, right? Was she really this logical as she sounded? Seriously, she sounded like she had the answers for everything. Yelling inside her mind to start being a “know-it-all-wannabe” when she wasn’t that kind of person at all, it was more or less that she thought of the logical explanation that easily told her that she had right. Wow, how ironic, she didn’t sound like she was stupid either. A snort made her stop yelling inside her own little world and she heard him trying on a conversation. Looking towards the trail not letting go of his hand because one, she felt safe and two, it was just, right. She thought of what to tell of herself. Well, what was it really? She was horse girl, her life had sucked, her foster family hates her, her father is dead, her mother is insane and she can’t reach her brother. Oh yes, her life is a dream she thinks sarcastically to herself.
Eyes went back to looking at him. Ok, now what? She had to find something well, ok to say, right? Ok, here it goes then. Well, I’ve been in foster care since I was ten. My dad was in…a lot of troubles so I had to be taken in. I’ve ridden since then. I’ve never really had any real friends seeing as school was a hassle so I kind of quit it much to my foster-mothers displeasure. I argued a lot at home and usually slept in the barn with the horses and after an incident I can’t look at Palomino’s without either throwing up or crying. Uhm…I think I’ve said too many embarrassing things. She blushed again and gave a half smile. It wasn’t something had to say, well not really. But she could still see their faces as she laughed out when they told her that her real father was dead. It made them wonder what he had done to her, but they never told her about the debt he had given them that were the reason for her having to work hard and for her father wanting to have Loop so he could sell the stallion again. She looked back at him when she got her color back and spoke softly. And what about you Matt? Got anything embarrassing to say? If he thought about it then he would notice how easy he could get her to talk about things. Well maybe not the deep dark secrets but it was not hard to get her into a conversation at least.

"Big bad wolf, eh?" Matt said with a smirk. He supposed that described him a little. Maybe not all the time, but he was seducing a young girl under a nice guise to 'eat her up'. Or maybe he wasn't. Maybe he was telling himself he was being bad but really he was just looking for a friend and that's how he justified it. He couldn't even tell what his own motives were for hanging out with Armelia, especially since he'd only known her for a few hours. Matt felt strange, different...he wasn't sure if he liked it or not. " I think Loop would cling on you anyways, he seems like the big brother type." Matt winked at her jokingly as he said this, making light conversation.
He could feel the change in the wind just as the stallion did, but figured they'd get back to the barn in time. Clouds were gathering, but they couldn't get over here that fast. The problem would be the mud on his car. Wait. He hadn't thought about cars in over an hour. That was odd...
"I bet I'll be feeling it too in the morning," he replied with a light chuckle, rubbing his backside with his free hand. He hadn't fallen quite as hard as her because he'd been almost halfway to the ground when he let go. Still, it was his first fall. He'd probably be even more sore than he was already from lifting all of that manure and water buckets. Oh well, being around this pleasant beauty was worth it. "You know, you're being awfully smart right now," he joked as she suggested she take the blame. "Well, let's go with that and hope that no one asks us about it. I mean, we weren't gone too long, they wouldn't think anything would /happen/, would they?" He looked at her, shaking his head, as if wondering how anyone would think he could do that.
Matt listened to her carefully, watching her expression. It was obviously difficult for her to talk about such things, but at least he had gotten her to open up. He nodded slowly, not thinking anything she was saying was embarrassing at all. She was opening up to him, telling him things that she probably had never told anyone else before. At least, he hoped he was special to hear this. "No, no, I really am glad you would tell me that, I don't think it's anything to be embarrassed about at all. Horses have been your support through your life, I guess, like cars and working with my hands has been mine," he said quickly, not wanting her to feel bad about telling him.
"Me? Well, I totally understand where you're coming from about foster parents, I've been moved from family to family my whole life. My dad killed my mom and he's in jail now. I dropped out of high school to work at a mechanics shop, fixing up cars to take my mind off things, kind of like you ride. Um, well I am not really proud of this, but I'm forced to be here by the courts because I was selling marijuana and fighting," he told her, almost in one breath. When he finished, he realized how long it had been since he had been able to talk to anyone about that. No one knew about why he was arrested or what his sentence was except for his foster family, brother and the judge. Matt looked away from her, his face burning. He felt close to her because they shared that sense of not-belonging anywhere and not having a family, but also he felt maybe he had told her too much. "I hope that doesn't change the way you see me...I mean, we just met but I really don't want you to think that I'm some druggie who can't control his temper."

She giggled softly at his comments. Ok, so he probably wasn’t the big bad wolf and somehow the thought of a kiss made her mind go blank. She shook her head, no, she couldn’t. But why did it feel so right having her palm in his? Her fingers wrapped around his, it felt so, comforting and right, looking back to the Oldenburg she noticed how relaxed he had gotten. She put the lead rope over his neck and let it go only to see him walking put. He really had no care in the world didn’t he? Flicking his ears gently the stallion made a parade as he saw the barn and Amy noticed the instructor named Jon. Oh crap! Not him. She felt like biting her tongue but kept it with it. The stallion halted when she did and she backed a little. Yeah he probably is. But I don’t think we’ll get past mister handsome without him blabber mouthing on Amy. She made a grimace knowing he was one of those that told Amy right after something had happened. And besides, she wouldn’t deny it, but Armelia didn’t want to part with Matt, not yet. Looking up at the sky she noticed the clouds that entered but wasn’t bothered by it, the spring was just tensed and she got the feeling that she would have an amount of horses to calm down. She frowned, worried for Silly’s safety in this. The mare would freak out, she had to go there right after this.
Lo gave a light snort and grazed not far from them, Armelia wouldn’t enter yet, not until she was safe that Jon had gone to fetch other horses. She leaned against a tree again and looked at Matt until she heard more of his comments and smiled gently. Poor you, maybe you should have the day off tomorrow? She winked softly at him, Armelia had really warmed up to him. She wasn’t stuttering, to be honest she had been overly open to him and that was something unusual even for her. Armelia never really opened up to anyone then the horses. She supported on them, could feel how they loved her and loved them back. But now she had someone important and she truly hoped no one would take him away from her. I don’t intend to. It’s just somehow natural which is weird considering none in my family is smart other then me and my brother. And that depends what you want them to think. And what do you mean by happen? She lifted an eyebrow having a playful look in her eyes. She really wanted to know even if she already knew. It was probably why she had never really, dated. She was never the dating time and had never really found someone that fitted her personality.
Eyes went towards her horse and she was almost regretting selling him. Some jerk and rather arrogant brat had ruined two weeks of Armelia’s work with Twister which meant even more waiting time until she could jump. God she hated those arrogant brats buying horses that cost over several thousand dollars. She had even ruined her own horse. And that stallion who had been so grand handsome, ah well, her own loss the female thought until she heard the voice of him again and turned her head gently. She smiled and was glad she had actually told someone, well other then the whole truth, she wasn’t prepared enough for that. Yeah they have, people deal with things their own way right? It’s just something about them you know? They’re not like some people, they are truly there for you and I’ve never seen one horse not trying its best for its owner because of the bond. It just ticks me off that some people take them for granted or in a case not long ago, ruins someone else’s work She shook her head at the thought and knew exactly who she was speaking towards but it wasn’t to Matt. She could understand the displeasure of having to stay here against your will and suddenly have a horse under your wing. Not really fun.
As he spoke she listened quite quietly. So his father had killed his mother? And she who had thought her father was insane. The thought made her spine shiver, what was worse? Your father killing your mother or your father molesting and selling you through debt without you knowing it? She didn’t really know. But she halted him with her finger as he started to make an excuse thinking she was maybe having bad thoughts about him. Putting her finger on his lips gently she couldn’t help it but smile softly at him. Its ok, I understand. And no I’m not thinking badly about you Matt. I mean, if you’re not going to do it again then haven’t you learned from your mistake? Even if we’ve just met there is nothing wrong with telling right? Oh dear, she couldn’t stand this close without thinking about it. She had to pull back right? Yes of course she had. But in her mind it was already too late. Slipping her finger from his lips the teen tripped over her feet and fell into his arms. Clumsy! Why now? Hello Goodbye looked at them while munching his grass but didn’t move, he didn’t have to because he didn’t want to get in just yet.

Matt was busy watching Armelia as she watched her horse; the love she felt for him was almost palpable. Not to mention she was really pretty...he found himself studying her, trying to memorize her features. He wondered if he could ever love another living thing with that much devotion...He had to jerk his gaze away from her quickly as she glanced back at him and then the stablehand. Damn. Jon wasn't the best guy to be around, or so he had heard, and from Armelia's declaration that he would tell on them what he had heard had been pretty accurate. "Oh, well I guess we'll just have to hope he didn't notice us then," he said with an uneasy smile leaning against the tree with Alto, his hand not leaving hers. Their fingers laced together was so simple, yet so intimate at the same time and he wondered at the sudden clenching in his stomach when he looked at her.
"Ha, yea, you think they'd give a guy a break after his first fall off a horse, wouldn't you? But no, of course even if I broke my neck I'd still have to come in," he joked, exaggerating just a little. Matt leaned his head back against the tree, relaxing a little bit as the wind blew stronger, tugging at both his hair and clothes and hers. "I didn't mean that as an insult in the slightest, it was really a compliment," he said with a smile when she almost tried to defend being smart. "And you know perfectly well what I mean by happen. Two teenagers ride off into the woods on a lone stallion and don't come back for awhile? What do you think they're going to think? Obviously, most people would suspect the worst had happened and jump to conclusions...teenagers aren't trusted, and most of them with good reason." He knew she knew what he meant, but he explained it anyway, just because he knew it would make her blush. She looked prettier when she got that hot flush in her cheeks.
He watched her talk again with ease about her passion for horses and suddenly felt the urge to share in that, to learn to love something that wasn't just mechanical. "What happened recently?" he pried gently, running the flat of his thumb across the back of her hand as he held it. Matt wanted her to talk to him, it was nice to hear her talk and she obviously had a lot on her mind.
It relieved him that she really didn't think any less of him, because something made him want to impress her. He didn't want to have sex with a girl for once, he wanted to make her like him...for once. For once, his penis wasn't doing all the thinking for him with his brain just following along because it seemed like a good idea. Armelia...was different. Then her soft finger was on his lips and he smiled a little as she told him it was okay, as long as he was learning from his mistake. He was about to reply when she tripped over her own two feet and his arms instinctively went out to catch her, holding her slim form close to him so that she wouldn't fall. "You all right?" he asked quietly, his face so very close to hers and his arms holding her gently. If she wanted to, she could move away and he wouldn't stop her...but he really wanted her not to move.

E i She could feel their fingers as they stood behind the tree and smiled gently hearing his words. And yet somehow he seemed to hold something else as well, but what? She didn’t really know. Na, I don’t think he did. I’m so glad his not my instructor, I would’ve died. She joked gently and closed her eyes while listening to his words so ever softly. She really liked to hear his voice; it clung deep but at the same time soft almost as if he tried his best to look good in front of her. As long as he isn’t someone else then himself I’m fine with it. The thought struck her and she knew that she really cared a lot about him, well in fact, she had a feeling she had fallen hard for him. Oh god! What now? He was probably not looking at her the same way right? Loop noticed her unease and looked at her with ears perked curiously, she eased up not wanting both the guys to worry and spoke again. I’m sure it isn’t that bad. You just need to get used to it. I always complained when I mucked out telling them what a crappy job they were giving me. I was never allowed to eat if I told them that. And if it is a compliment I’ll say thank you. She smiled gently, a life was hard if you complained too much no?
The breeze that tugged against her hair and clothes were soft and easy but she felt almost refreshed by it. But she started to giggle hearing about his explanation and looked at him with a laughing expression; he had so gone on her challenge. And failed it nonetheless, because even though she already knew of what he was talking, she had a feeling he was confusing himself a little which was funny because he looked kind of nervous when speaking. And yet the female never failed, she blushed a soft shade of peach and stuttered lightly when she spoke. Ah I-I see. B-but don’t tell m-me the thought n-n-never struck y-you. She looked at him gently and at the same time you could notice the shy glint in her eyes. Ok, so technically she was a virgin, she had never had sex with any other guy other then the several rapes from her father, glory what time. She didn’t know how she would react if a situation like that would happen but had to let it go, she couldn’t think about it, not now. Hearing his question about what had happened she felt as though she was only talking about her and decided to be a little mean. I’ll tell you about it later if you want, but I really want to hear about you Mr. Bad boy.
Her smile had faded but she felt his arms around her body and she felt so secure. Feeling his breath against her skin she noticed how close they were but this time didn’t flinch, if she did Loop would probably freak a little and suddenly bail out which meant that they were busted. She felt warm her breath was but hoped that she wasn’t provoking him or anything, it would be the last thing in the world. And yet, she really liked this feeling and didn’t move just kept her body against his, her slender fingers were around his waist as well but she hoped he didn’t feel like she was clingy. Uhm…Yeah, I just tripped. I’m such a klutz. She joked gently, she could be relaxed around him it was only that, her heart was pounding heart and fast so she thought he was hearing it, and if he was, what did he think? She had truly no idea.

Matt really was being himself with Armelia. He had no idea why, but besides toning down the bad boy stuff slightly, he was completely...Matt. A little sweeter, polished down a whole heck of a lot, but still Matt. Hand holding, that was a little different for him, yet here he was, their hands interlaced, his thumb tracing patterns on the back of her hand. "You weren't allowed to eat? Who didn't allowed you to eat if you complained? That seems a little harsh to me," Matt asked, the devilishly handsome smile of his gone at least for the moment. He was truly concerned about what had happened to her in the past, things she kept remembering and mentioning in casual conversation.
Matt smiled as the blush that graced her pretty cheeks, and the stutter that came back at the embarrassing topic, at least for her. "No, I couldn't lie to you and tell you I hadn't thought of it," he said with a small laugh, winking at her playfully. She seemed like a virgin to him...but at the same time there was that feeling again that he didn't want to have sex with her. Not now, not until he knew her better. It was a strange feeling that he'd never had to experience before. Usually every pretty girl he met was a turn-on for him and he immediately wanted to get in their pants. Why was Armelia so different? It was nice just to hold her...
Like right now. "You want to hear about me?" he asked quietly, a little surprised that she wanted to learn anything about him. Their faces were very close, they were very close. Should he kiss her? "Well, I told you most of what's happened to me, only the Reader's Digest version," he murmured, his voice low and deep as he looked into her green eyes just a few inches from his own blue ones.
"A klutz? You sure you just didn't want to be near me?" he asked with a small smile, deciding to throw caution to the wind. That was what he did normally, throw caution to the wind that is. Matt tilted his head to the side and kissed her gently, a quick kiss, but a kiss nonetheless. Still, she could pull away if she didn't like it, although he still wished she would stay as she was, the two of them holding each other.

Eyes looked up in his blue and she noticed that he got worried. She felt touched at some point and a small smile graced her lips. He was really cute when he got worried. Well that thought made her giggle, almost at least but she didn’t allow herself. Instead she explained it as gently as possible without it sounding as horrific as some perhaps thought. Well, I usually came into the house telling everyone how much my arms and bottom hurt and usually got into a fight with my stepmother. Her punishment was no dinner that day, I could have cold vegetables but no good food that she made. I always bit my tongue afterwards because I wanted what they ate so badly every time. But I was like, thirteen, I complained about a lot, but if it was about the stables then no dinner. She shrugged at it, it was in the past and said and done. She had nothing to complain about now, her body had worked a lot through the years and she adapted quickly to the new environment now people couldn’t get her out the stable, she was always double checking everything she had done which had ticked off Amy twice and sent her home. I don’t want you to come at the stable exhausted! Go to sleep. Amy was like a mother, amusing right?
She looked back at the stallion and blushed again. She knew many people had thought about sleeping with her, but then again, she had never dated, not in her whole life. Imagine that! And in a way she looked at herself as a virgin because she wanted to, it meant that she was still pure and not tainted because of her past. Her hair loosened from the pony tail as the breeze tugged it loose. She put some of the straws behind her ear until she spoke softly. Well, I don’t think people will blame you, but still, you haven’t right? I think that’s quite amazing seeing as you have had the opportunity. Not that I wanted, or, I’m not trying to sound rude, I just…I… She stopped herself from blabbering around loads of words and blushed even deeper, she wasn’t nervous, it wasn’t that. It was just that she didn’t want to sound rude, or wrong, just right. And yet, she couldn’t get, well to get it right. She looked forth again trying to calm her blush down and heard about him saying that it was one version he had told her. Curiosity showed in her emerald meeting amber as she looked at him. Would he dare tell her, his version?
Her smiles were usually real, but with him they seemed alive, well almost. She felt like she didn’t need to worry that he would judge her, they had both come from bad places and was starting new, was it a coincidence perhaps? Whatever it was she would thank the one doing that. She really had fallen for him after all. Well, could I hear Matt’s version on it then? Maybe there’s someone you want to mock, I love mocking people, well uh…depends who it is and if I’m allowed. She laughed a little nervously not knowing if that sounded really right. Lo had walked a little further from them and laid down, he started rolling around enjoying the feeling of no worry while being near his ‘love.’ He really had no care in the world as he stopped from rolling and just lay there completely relaxed his eyes closed. He looked like a foal, a massive foal but at the same time not. He seemed so peaceful, his dark brown coat shining so ever healthy while he flicked his tail now and then and let a butterfly land on his ear, she smiled he was funny when he was sleeping.
The feeling of his breath still tingled her as the pair of blue eyes were almost hypnotizing her. She heard what he said and yes you guess it, she blushed. The soft shade was almost like natural rouge on her cheek and she giggled gently. Perhaps, or maybe I just fell, hmm? She looked at him with a innocent look, she wouldn’t admit that she wanted to be near him. Not in a million minutes, not now! And that was when the time stopped. It was only for a second but she felt her heart stop and then throb again. The warmth of his lips gently upon hers, eyes widened but they were surprised not shocked or horrified. Would he dare do it again? But he didn’t pull away, a good sign right? She felt her own eyes soften and leaned him, hesitating only for a second giving a light tease until the teen pressed her soft lips upon his. The rush of emotions suddenly vanished as she could finally feel how it was. To kiss the one you truly had feelings for.

The more Matt learned about Armelia, which was coming in little facts and small stories, the more he wondered at the mental strength of this girl. It seemed she had gone through a lot, well so had he, but he'd never met a girl that was still generally sane after hardships. She seemed perfectly normal, if a little hurt internally, yet he didn't even know how far that hurt extended. He only saw glimpses of the bruises that were on her, almost like every time she told him something new a piece of clothing was slipping off her shoulder or her arm, exposing just a little of what she experienced. As soon as she exposed that piece of her, however, she tried to cover it up again as much as possible. He had seen enough in his short lifetime to know how those things worked. He used to do it himself. Sometimes he still did.
She seemed to just shrug it off, but he didn't think it was that easy for her. Although that wasn't the worst thing he'd ever heard, those kinds of things changed a person. Usually forever. He grinned, though, as she said it was quite amazing they hadn't had sex and he had kept control of himself. There she went again, blushing and thinking she was saying the wrong thing when she wasn't. "Usually I wouldn't have had such great control, but you're too interesting just to have sex with," he blurted out, almost without even realizing it. Now it was his turn to be embarrassed and a crimson flush rose to his own cheeks. When was the last time Matt Laren had blushed? Were guys even allowed to blush? "I mean, uh, not that you're not pretty, but I, uh...aw shoot," he just had to smile sheepishly and hope she understood that had just come out wrong.
He heard her inquiry, heard her wanting to her his version of things that had happened to him...but he didn't want to burden her with that. At least not now. He couldn't reveal himself anymore than he already had to a girl he had only met a few hours ago. Sure, she was beautiful and funny and...dammit he lost his train of thought as she said teasingly, "Or maybe I just fell, hmm?"
Her lips tasted sweet, even for the mere seconds his lips grazed hers. However, she did something he hadn't expected her to. He had expected her to perhaps blush and look away, run away, back away, something away...but instead she came closer. Her lips touched his again and he could feel her heart through their clothes, while he was sure she must be able to feel his. Why was his heart racing out of control as their lips melted together and he couldn't tell where hers ended and his began? Why couldn't he breathe, didn't dare to? Where was the cool, calm, collected Matt who seduced all the girls and loved fast cars? That Matt was replaced by a different one who suddenly cared...but why?
He didn't understand it, he couldn't. After a moment, he had to pull away to breathe. When his lips where touching hers, his breath had just caught in his throat and stopped there and now it whooshed out suddenly. His face remained close to hers and his arms did not move. "I-I'm sorry, I-I couldn't breathe," he explained, not wanting her to think he had pulled away for any other reason. Now who was the stuttering one? Matt tried to control his breathing this time and moved in for another kiss, same as the last...he had no intentions of anything other than kissing her...for once.

Armelia had never really thought about where her mental strength had come from. Maybe it was because she had a barrier? It was quite weird actually because the more she remembered, the more she thought about it. So what if her mental ability was beyond? Wasn’t it a good thing? She had memories, and most of them were heavier brought then others. Her eyes looked up at the sky watching the dark clouds that had suddenly surrounded them. She looked out to see that the instructor was gone. Thank god. But as she heard him speak the female looked back, curious about what he was trying to tell. So he was holding back? What a gentleman. And they hadn’t known each other for that long either. But Armelia knew better, she had to get back soon and the thought didn’t amuse her. Well, that is a good thing isn’t it? You’re really sweet Matt. She spoke softly and saw how he blushed and had to smile. She was at least not the only one blushing here and talking without any real combination of his sentence.
Her eyes darted back to the lying stallion. She wondered how her life would be if she could’ve have that kind of peace. She would probably wind up dead. Not a pleasant thought after all. Don’t worry, I knew what you meant. Now it was her turn to be the calm one. Her eyes were gentle and soft and she looked from the male to the horse. But she could feel the rain in the air and hoped that it wouldn’t start soon. Feeling him break apart from their silent kiss she smiled but got a worried look. You ok? Her voice expressed a light worry, she didn’t want to kill him. But the feeling of his lips locked with hers again gave her a hint that he was alright. She let her eyes close for a second when she felt it. Something cold touched her cheek and she had to break away lightly. Looking up she noticed that the sky had started crying. Oh great, it was going to be a storm. She whistled low and silent steps told her that the stallion was already on his way.
It was a real shame that the rain had to start right now! She was just getting warm as well. The soft colored skirt could show more then she wanted as well as her tank top if they didn’t hurry in the barn. Looking at Matt she pulled away slowly but hesitated several times. He was her warmth, she didn’t want to move. We need to get in, it’s going to build a storm. Loop moved nervously behind her and she looked at Matt. They had to move fast or else they would get soaked. But not only that, Armelia’s clothes would show not only skin but her underwear and she would die if he saw it, because underneath it all, she always wore a pair of sexy underwear. Why? Because it was the only way to make herself feel good looking. Having the stallions lead in her palm she looked at him, the rain falling on her head making her hair wet slowly but surely, what was he going to do now?

"I try my best," he said in reply when she told him he was sweet. He followed her gaze to the barn and was relieved to see the instructor had gone. Now, hopefully, they could go back in peace...and before the storm hit. Were horses scared of storms? When Matt was younger, he had been caught out in the middle of a thunderstorm on his bike. He had hidden underneath the shelter of a rotting shed. Lightning had flashed nearby, hitting a tree and toppling it right on his little shelter and crushing him. If he had been any closer to the wall of the shelter, he would have been killed. As it was, he had waited out the terrifying storm trapped underneath the darkness of the collapsed shelter, not knowing whether anyone would come looking for him. He had escaped generally unscathed except for an inane fear of thunderstorms.
It was like they had reversed roles. She was calm, he was antsy and unsure. He was never antsy and unsure. Damn, Armelia was good. He smiled when she said she knew what he meant and just enjoyed their kiss all the more, even if he wasn't breathing. It was shame, then, when he too felt a wet drop splash on his nose and they both broke away at the same time to look up at the sky. Matt looked down and laughed a little, although he was slightly disappointed that this meant ending their time alone together. "Looks like rain," he said quietly, not wanting to let go of her but letting his arms slide to her hips and then off as she moved reluctantly away.
He watched the horse come towards them with some apprehension, knowing that she wanted to get back to the barn quickly before it turned into an all out storm. He did too, especially because he knew he'd freak out if he got caught in the middle of a thunderstorm again. Right now Matt was fighting to keep back flashbacks of that terrifying night.
"Alright, then let's ride!" he said with a grin, realizing her main concern. The light coloring of her clothes, if soaked through, would certainly show more than was decent...although Matt had never cared about decency before. He really didn't want to see her that way, at least not until she wanted him to and it didn't seem like she did. Why he was being all honorable and decent, he could only guess that Armelia was having some strange effect on him. Matt didn't quite know how Loop would react to having the amateur rider on his back again, but they had to get back to the barn quickly and riding the stallion seemed to be the only way.
Matt used the nearby tree to hold onto for balance while he swung his leg up and over the stallion's back, holding out a hand to Armelia for her to come up with him. "Come on, I can't ride him myself," he said with another charming grin.

She watched him and felt how he got a light tension but reassured her own mind not to ask. He seemed to have a lot to think about already. Nodding to his words she got shocked however as he mounted Loop who for once stood calmly when a stranger mounted him. A smirk was put upon her lips and she mounted the stallion behind the male. She leaned close to him, forgetting how her own body pressed against his back because for her it was a way of holding on. Her slender fingers went around his stomach and she spoke to the male. I must say, I never thought you would mount this big guy. But let’s go then. She clicked her tongue but knew one thing; Hello Goodbye didn’t need to be asked twice to make a move. His long strides went out in a soft canter as he stretched his legs. Armelia held tightly against Matt, she wouldn’t admit it but had a fright for thunderstorms. It was not bad memories; it was more or less because when she was small her brother would always be there. Finding out that he wouldn’t be with her anymore got her mildly scared of them, but not scared enough like Matt and Loop were.
The hooves went over the grass until she could hear the sound of concrete and feeling how the rain stopped as well as Lo’s pace fading. He walked inside the barn and halted, snorting and having a light pant. She opened her eyes and looked down at her clothes, great. The rain had fallen hard and she was soaked already. It wasn’t that Armelia DIDN’T want Matt to see her in her undergarment. It was more or like that she was scared of what he might think of her. I mean, she was a rather innocent girl, wearing sexy outfits however? Didn’t that give a person the wrong impression? She slid of the stallions back and noticed how ironically that it was only her back and bottom completely wet, her front had been pressed against Matt so it was dry, glory! She glanced around in the barn but found her jacket that she had in case it got suddenly cold. She put it around her waist because she was more scared of her butt being seen then her back. The female released a sigh until she turned and looked back at Matt. Her eyes searched him over in case he had gone in shock or something. Matt, are you alright? She frowned worriedly while holding two blankets. One of the stallion and one for the male.
She gave the male the warm blanket until walking to her own horse. She rubbed his neck warming him up gently and saw how much he loved the feeling. He was goofy, but funny goofy. Walking to his other side her eyes glanced to Matt again and a smile was put on her smile. You look like you’ve seen a ghost. You haven’t gotten a fever or anything from the rain? Eyes showed that she was worried, her heart was beating just looking at him. She listened however to the rain beating, it was going out hard and she would have no chance to get home if it didn’t stop soon. Armelia had never gotten a car. She had borrowed one, her apartment however was near the stable so she could use her bicycle or just walk from it. Looking at the rain made her feel down and she felt cold. I hope I won’t catch a cold. It would be everything that she needed. A cold. Silly was kept in one of the large pens but she had shelter and food, Twister, oh yes Twister! She looked towards a stall, a large ebonite head was suddenly shown and the large Warmblood stallion neighed softly at her. At least someone was happy being warm and having a blanket on. At least your lucky. It reminded her to find the stable blanket for Loop afterwards, she had to dry him up first and get warmth in Matt, he really looked like he needed some warmth.

What with Armelia getting up behind Matt all close and whatnot, he pretty much forgot about the oncoming storm until a distant flash of lightning brought him back to earth. He turned his head with a small smile that didn't really have his whole heart in it because not only was he about to get caught in a storm, but he was on the stallion's back again, only this time in the front. "To tell you the truth, I didn't think I would either," he replied, one of his hands going to hers around his stomach, and the other grabbing a handful of the stallion's mane, gently of course. He gripped with his knees just as Armelia urged Loop into a canter, the same smooth motion he had settled into when they had rode out here. He shut his eyes against the oncoming rain and to try to not see the lightning. He focused on staying on the horse and holding Armelia's hands.
Matt didn't open his eyes until he heard the clip-clop of the horse's hooves on the concrete and tried to concentrate on breathing normally. If Alto found out about his irrational fear...what would she think of him? That would be the ultimate embarrassment. He struggled to keep his cool as the stallion slowed to a stop. He swallowed hard and sat up straight, putting on a smile for Alto as he glanced back at her. His whole front was soaked through, his brown hair dripping wet and his shirt plastered to the muscles he prided so much, but he was okay. They were inside. He must have been pale, though, for she saw something was wrong. "I'm fine, just a little hair-raising riding a horse through the beginnings of a storm," he said good-naturedly as he dismounted. It occurred to him just before he turned to look at her that she may have gotten soaked and that skirt would show...he kept his gaze forward and sat on a tack box to calm down when a blanket was handed to him.
She had a jacket around her waist and he figured that the rain had made the back of her skirt see-through. Good thing he hadn't looked, mostly because for some reason he wanted to preserve her dignity. He was being just the good gentleman today. "Thanks," he said, taking the blanket and wrapping it around himself to try and get warm. He wasn't going to try and be tough and pretend he wasn't cold after getting soaked in early spring rains. That would be just stupid and he was sure Alto would see right through it. "Nah, I'm okay. Physically, I mean." Dammit, why'd he say that? Now he'd have to tell her about his phobia. Matt sighed and ran his hands through his wet hair, slicking it back for about a second before the front strands came loose and went back in front of his eyes. "Although, it is a little chilly in here," he said with a grin and a wink, trying to joke again. Really, he wouldn't mind if she did sit down next to him to warm up together, but that was totally her choice. It was said as a joke and she could take it how she would.

Loop accepted the warm blanket and snuffled when she moved to his back and hind. Reassuring that he was dry enough the female went easily into the tack room fetching two stall blankets. She laid one beside Matt and the other over her horse. Easily slipping on the stall blanket the teen led the large horse into his stall and closed it after taking off his halter. Good boy, easy now. She kissed his muzzle and closed the stall door. And gave a half smile to the male, she could understand that it was a little hair-rising. I mean, he had just ridden on a horse he didn’t know fully. She looked at the ceiling but shivered feeling a cold breeze dance to her back. Holy!? When did it become so cold? She had noticed however how handsome he had gotten because of the water but didn’t dare mentioning it. She dried her wet hair in her towel and looked at him until she heard that he was ok physically. She frowned but he didn’t look like he wanted to tell more of it. It was ok with her if he didn’t, she wouldn’t blame him at all.
Her eyes were still concerned but she sat down beside him and got the blanket around them both, leaning to his shoulder her eyes went half closed. It’s ok now, we’re inside and you don’t need to tell me. Some things are better left unsaid if you don’t feel like it. She smiled and snuggled nearer him shivering lightly. The sudden stormy cold breeze didn’t really suit her thin clothes. But then again she felt safer when she was underneath a blanket with him. She heard his comment about it being a little chilly and giggled her agreement. I just hope I won’t catch a cold like this. She lived near here it wasn’t that, she just had to wait until the storm subsided so she could go out. He would probably drive home wouldn’t he? She wouldn’t blame him but she was really happy to know that he had actually ridden on her stallion for her sake because if not they would probably be completely soaked all three of them. She released a soft breath while listening to the munching of the horses, a snort released now and then but their soft breathing. They were so calm when they were inside and she felt easier when she heard their breaths, closing her eyes the female could hear everything. The winds breeze, a bag hitting the floor outside, the rain tainting the roof, the breaths and the snorts and the munching from their lips. She felt like falling asleep but didn’t want to afraid that Matt would disappear from her sight. She opened her eyes again and spoke softly. Yes it is, want to go in the lounge? It’s warmer there and the horses are safe inside. She looked at him wondering if he would take the invite or not but then again, it was his choice.

Matt watched incredulously as she lovingly took care of the horse she was going to have to give up soon. He shook his head slowly with a small smile; this girl amazed him. He would never be able to openly show that much love to anything he knew he would have to give up. The pain of loving that much while knowing that it couldn't last would be too much for him. Armelia was stronger than he would ever be and he found himself admiring her only the more for it. She, too, was prettier wet, even if they both looked like ragged dolls from the soaking.
He was slightly surprised when she sat down and leaned up against him with hardly any prompting. He smiled a little and put his arm around her waist, pulling her closer. Matt kissed the top of her head gently and sighed, leaning his head against hers. "Maybe another time, then," he said with the smallest of smiles, feeling a little better that she wasn't going to pry. He relaxed a little, glancing out the door at the rain and his fast little car getting soaked. "If you need a ride home later, I can drive you," he offered, not seeing any other cars out there. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to offer even if she refused the offer.
For a moment, he thought she'd fallen asleep, but then she suggested going to the lounge. He lifted his head from hers and felt another cold wind rip through the barn. "That sounds like a good idea. I just don't exactly know where the lounge is," Matt replied, standing and helping her up with the arm that was still around her waist. [/blockquote]
